Jean-François Sabourin, CFA
President & Chief Executive Officer
JF has been leading FinlogiK's vision and direction since 2003. JF started at Hydro Quebec, one of the most important energy distributors in North America. He worked in the financial engineering department where he set up an innovative measure of financial risks management performance and later managed the interest rate risk. JF then went to work on the sell-side (TD Securities, Scotia Capital and Citibank) where he developed the derivative products market for the institutional Quebec clientele including financial institutions, corporate treasuries and institutional investors. JF was named on the Board of Mediagrif Interactive Technologies (TSX: MDF) in September 2008.
JF holds a Bachelor of Finance from HEC Montreal and is a CFA.
Frédéric Dréau
Director, Projects
Frédéric has a vast experience in the IT industry, particularly in system architecture and in financial management system development, acquired in the banking, treasury and institutional investment sectors. Before joining FinlogiK, he acted as Solution Architect, Senior Consultant and Project Leader for several large French companies, including CDC-IXIS Securities and Bouygues Télécom.
At FinlogiK, Frédéric is responsible for the development team in the professional services group. He also acts as Senior Architect and Project Manager during the construction and implementation of FinlogiK's solutions for clients.
Ivan Maksymyk, Ph.D.
Lead Analyst - Financial Engineering
Ivan joined our team in November 2010. He is involved in the development of new software functionality and analytical tools in the FinlogiK product offering.
From 2000 to 2009, Ivan worked in product management and business development at StockerYale, a manufacturer of optical fiber for telecommunications and lasers for machine vision.
As a doctoral and postdoctoral researcher in theoretical quantum physics, Ivan investigated possible extensions of the standard model of elementary particle interactions. He was also active in supersymetric string phenomenology and heavy hadron physics.
Ivan holds a B.E.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in French from the University of Western Ontario. He obtained a M.Sc. (optics) at Université Laval and a Ph.D. (theoretical particle physics) from Université de Montréal.
Ivan has passed all three exams of the CFA® program.
